After over 35 years in the holster business, Galco has learned a great deal about what works (and what may not) when it comes to carrying handguns. One of the things we’ve learned is that female gun carriers often require carry options different from their male counterparts. Common sense and simple observation tells us that women’s bodies are often shaped differently than men’s. An item that rides close to a woman’s body – like a concealment holster – may need to be shaped a little differently than one designed for a man, not only for comfort, but also for concealment.

Over the years, and after speaking with literally thousands of female customers, we at Galco have found these items to work well for a majority of women of varying body shapes. Recognizing and wholeheartedly endorsing the ever-increasing number of female shooters and gun carriers, we proudly offer these recommendations, conveniently separated from our full line of shooting equipment.

The Kramer Woman’s Belt Scabbard, FBI Forward Tilt is designed specifically for women. Kramer Leather listened to the common complaint from women that most holsters ride too high with the grip of the gun up around the armpit.

They took into account that a woman’s curved hips tend to push the muzzle of the gun outward, causing the grip to jam into her ribs. The Women’s Belt Scabbard carries the gun at a lower, more comfortable and accessible position for a woman. The belt slot is lined with molded plastic and formed at such an angle as to tilt the grip out slightly, preventing it from jamming into the rib cage. The gun is carried on the strong side at an FBI tilt.

Galco Holster Vault

Galco’s Holster Vault provides Level 10 security. By inserting Galco’s combination padlock (sold separately) through the opening in the Holster Vault’s trigger guard area, the pistol is secure in the holster. The pistol cannot be removed and there is no access to the trigger. The lock remains intact behind the trigger even if the holster is cut away from the firearm.

Ankle Gloves for small revolvers:
Models AG158/AG159 are an open top design, meaning they do not have a safety strap and thumbreak. Instead, they have a tension unit, and work with both hammered and hammerless guns.

Models AG160/AG161 have a retention strap (thumb break) that runs behind the grip frame (not behind the hammer). They work with both hammered and hammerless guns, but some guns with factory supplied custom or oversized rubber grips will not fit because the retention strap is not long enough to wrap around them.
